Chevro calfskin
This extraordinarily soft, yet durable calf leather gets its natural and fashionable colors from the rare and complex aniline dyeing. This type of coloring is characterized by the fact that the dye penetrates very far into the leather and is not only applied on top. This preserves the surface structure of the leather, which makes each product unique in its texture.
The leather for the toiletry and cosmetic bags of the leather manufacturer F. Hammann is tanned from the best alpine skins in Santa Croce near Florence in Italy. This happens without the addition of chromium salts in closed circuits, while clearly undercutting the latest EU environmental standards.
