The Franz Hammann fine leather goods factory is located in Offenbach am Main, where the highest craftsmanship has been lived and nurtured since 1864. As one of the oldest traditional manufacturers of leather goods and personal travel accessories in Germany, F. Hammann stands for quality, durability, and timeless design.
Chervo Calf Leather
This exceptionally soft yet durable calf leather receives its natural and fashionable colors through the rare and elaborate aniline dyeing. This type of dyeing is characterized by the dye penetrating deeply into the leather rather than just being applied on the surface. This preserves the surface structure of the leather, making each product unique in its texture.
The leather for the toiletry and cosmetic bags of the F. Hammann manufactory is tanned in Santa Croce near Florence, Italy, from the best Alpine hides. This is done without the addition of chromium salts in closed cycles, significantly below the latest EU environmental standards. The leather is a by-product of the local industry – no animal is used solely for its leather.
